We are delighted to share the news that two current MU Barnhall 1st VX players, Sean Walsh and Luke Fogarty, have been selected for the Ireland U20s squad for the upcoming Six Nations campaign. 🇮🇪

Sean Walsh joined the MU Barnhall U20 programme at Maynooth University in 2024, after playing his youth rugby with our near neighbours North Kildare. Sean showed real promise from an early age, and progressed through Leinster’s Club Pathway representing Leinster at all age grades. Sean graduated to our 1st XV at the beginning of this season.

Luke Fogarty began his rugby journey with MU Barnhall as an U7 as part of the 2006 group and played at every age group right through to U18.5s. He has also represented King’s Hospital at both Junior and Senior Cup level, and joined Sean in the U20 programme in Maynooth University last season, which narrowly missed out on the JP Fanagan title.

Both players have been key contributors to our 1st XV this season, playing important roles in our push for promotion to AIL 1B.

Congratulations to Sean, Luke, their parents and families, and all the coaches that have assisted them on this achievement.
